David Nicolas Hopmann is Professor at the Centre for Journalism and the Department of Political Science at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense. In addition, he has been a visiting scholar at the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR), Mid-Sweden University in Sundsvall, University of Gothenburg, and the University of Zurich.
In his research, David studies the antecedents of media content and its effects on consumers and societies as well as informal political communication. His research has been published in international journals such as Journal of Communication, Political Communication, European Journal of Political Research, Journalism, and Party Politics.
