Karolina Koc-Michalska (France)
Karolina Koc-Michalska is Associate Professor at Audencia Business School, Nantes and Associated Researcher at Sciences-Po Paris. She finished her Ph.D. in Poland and held visiting appointments at the Harriman Institute of Columbia University, and at the University California, Santa Barbara.
Karolina’s research interest include online communication strategy employed by political actors across Europe, the professionalization of the campaigning, and parties’ populistic communication via social media. She is also interested in the political offline and online participation (especially the role of motivations and encouragements), the role of traditional and new media in electoral processes and citizens’ electoral behavior. Koc-Michalska has guest-edited specialissues for New Media and Society, Political Communication, and Journal of Information, Technology and Politics. She currently leads a project on Innovation and Stability (2015-2019).
