Ana S. Cardenal (Spain)
Ana S. Cardenal is Associate Professor of Political Science at the Open University of Catalonia. She is also affiliated with Pompeu Fabra University, where she teaches a Comparative Politics course. She has been a visiting scholar at the Center for Latin American Studies at Stanford University and a Fulbright Fellow at the Department of Politics at New York University (NYU).
Her current research activities are at the intersection between political science and communication studies. Her research areas focus on the effects of digital media on online audiences, the processes of public opinion formation, online political information and its effects on parties and voting, and research methods. On these topics, she has published in international journals such as Journal of Computer Mediated Communication, Journal of Information, Technology and Politics, Party Politics, and Policy & Internet.
